While actor Vir Das’ (right), fans might find his looks perfect, the artist is working hard to lose more weight. Das, who will be seen in his upcoming film alongside actor Surveen Chawla, will be playing the role of a geeky guy, and the role requires him to look lanky. “I’ve got a fair bit of weight to lose. I had bulked up for my last film, but the look has to go now. The character has never really worked out or hit a gym, so I need to look lean, so it’s goodbye dairy, carbs and other tasty food for a while,” he says.

Meanwhile, the actor is also travelling to London, where another film of his is being screened at the London Film Festival. Das especially took out time to attend the festival after a lot of back and forth in the schedule. “I’m excited! You won’t normally see me at a serious film festival. This film is the most different thing I’ve ever done. I’m playing a sardar in a drama that tells a story which affected so many people including the family of the person I portray. It’s great to get a good response from the festival circuit before the film releases in India,” he says.
