Del Rey’s single is an online buzz
Amonth after posting the lyrics of Honeymoon, her new single, on her Instagram account, American singer Lana Del Rey (above) has finally released the song. The ballad is the title track of Del Rey’s upcoming fourth album, reportedly due out in September. The title track on Wednesday, soared to the top of the Billboard Trending 140 list within hours of its release. Del Rey had long been hinting at the release of her latest single after critical acclaim for her last album, Ultraviolence. She pursues similar subject matter in Honeymoon, with verses that include: “We both know the history of violence that surrounds you. But I’m not scared, there’s nothing to lose now that I’ve found you.” In an interview earlier this year with Billboard, Del Rey said that Honeymoon would also feature a cover of Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood by jazz and blues legend Nina Simone. Del Rey was recently quoted as saying that the album was set for September.
