Malhotra, who recently won the latest season of dance reality show Nach Baliye along with his wife, actor Amruta Khanvilkar, says that he was confident of his victory.

“Reality shows are unpredictable. There were popular celebrity couples in every season, but the show is about dance and everyone has got the same platform. It is also about luck, but there was always a part of me that was sure of winning. We were in it to win it,” he says.

The actor adds that the show helped him get to know his wife better. “There were so many tasks on the show other than the performances that brought us closer. I realised that she is a terrific dancer and also that if she puts her mind to something, she makes sure to perfect it,” says Himmanshoo.

Connecting with his fans also attracted Himanshoo to the reality show. “The best thing about reality shows is that you get feedback instantly and people connect with you on a new level. This increases your popularity too,” he says.

While he enjoyed the show, he says that he wants to focus on fiction shows now. “I am choosy about the kind of work that I do. I am looking at daily soaps as of now. I also want to explore the comedy genre,” he says.
