Bollywood actor Sonu Sood (right), who will soon start shooting for his upcoming regional project, is set to start his martial arts training in order to convincingly play his character in the movie.

A source says, “Sonu will be seen in an action avatar in an untitled South movie. He will be undergoing intense training for seven weeks, learning two different martial arts form – Krav Maga and Jiu-jitsu, to prepare for his role. Most probably, the Los Angeles- based trainer Roy Elghanayan will be training Sonu,” adding, “Initially, he wasn’t required to train intensely for his role but since the makers added more fight sequences, Sonu opted to get trained, as he wants the action scenes to look real.”

Sonu, who hopes to raise the bar in terms of action with this movie, says, “This isn’t just about fighting and throwing kicks and punches, everything has to look real and convincing on-screen. I work really hard on every character and do everything in order to make it look authentic. Similarly, this role also required me to train intensely and I’m looking forward to learning Krav Maga and Jiu-jitsu.”
