Unlike other radio jockeys, who have found it difficult to achieve a successful transition towards video jockeying, Aparshakti (right), who will soon be seen as a video jockey on Sony Mix, believes that his won’t be a similar story. “Honestly, for me, I have always been a people’s person. There’s a lot of warmth in the way I talk to friends, fans or even my listeners. So, unlike any other fanbase, my fans are not sad that I will be a VJ as well. I understand there are differences in creative sensibilities associated with these two mediums but I am not trying too hard to do something different,” he says, adding, “I have been getting so many messages on Facebook. So many people are tweeting that they are really excited about my new avatar. I am really excited for this new venture in my life.”

Aparshakti, who is also a music composer, says, “I am really looking forward to working with them. I am a music composer and I really want to cut an album. So, working here will help me understand the finer details on how to go about cutting an album, promoting it and more.”
