Her choice of roles may portray her as a bold, confident person, but actor Huma Qureshi says that she has many insecurities. “There are many things that I don’t like about myself. Like, I feel that I don’t have good teeth. But this does not affect how I am publicly,” says Huma, who has done films such as Gangs of Wasseypur (2011), Dedh Ishqiya (2014) and Badlapur.

The 28-year-old ensures that none of her personal concerns affect her acting. “I’m insecure as a person, not as an actor,” says Huma, who is satisfied with her career graph. “When I look at my growth, I remember that I came here (to Bollywood) with nothing. I’ve got a lot of love and appreciation. I also feel blessed to have a family that supports me. I think of this whenever I feel low,” she adds.

The actor is proud of who she is and doesn’t try to fit in, especially when it comes to fashion. “Being a public figure does not mean that you need to fit into someone’s standard of fashion. I have been loved for who I am. You might consider it to be a flaw or an asset that no one can define. All I know is that I’m better off being that than being someone else,” says Huma.
