While celebs often complain about endless speculation being the downside of a public figure’s life, Konkona Sen Sharma is not one to get bogged down by rumours. The actor believes that ignoring the grapevine is the best policy. The 35-year-old, who was rumoured to have hit a rocky patch with husband, actor Ranvir Shorey, says that she will never try to clarify her stand. “I always ignore news related to my private life. People can say what they want. I don’t get bothered. I will not say anything about my personal life,” says Konkona.

The actor, who has up to three films releasing this year, says that she is also working on a script. “I have written a film and I will direct it soon,” she says.

Konkona believes that Bollywood must come up with more women-centric films. “Every time a few women-centric films are made, people think that’s enough. But that is not the case. Many more such films need to be made. They remain an exception rather than the rule. The industry is ruled by men. They walk away with the best roles as well as the money,” she says.

Konkona further adds that she would love to play a man in a film. “It would be interesting to play the role of a man. Of course, the role will be better, plus it will be very different than what I have done before,” says the actor, who will be seen in a biopic on freedom fighter Gour Hari Das.
