TV actor Drashti Dhami (left), who tied the knot with Mumbai- based businessman Neeraj Khemka earlier this year, says that she’s in the happiest phase of her life. “This is a really happy time in my life. I love spending time with my husband and my in-laws. They also watch my shows at times, and are very supportive of my career decisions,” says the 30-year-old, who was last seen as the host of a dance reality show in 2014.

Talking about her wedding, Drashti says that she wanted to keep it private. “It was a hush-hush affair, and that is how I wanted it to be. But of course, it is tough to keep it like that. I still feel like I did a good job and managed to keep quite a lot of it hidden. But there were things that came out,” she says, adding, “But I am not complaining. I really love all my fans and I think that they bring out the best in me.”

Although the actor is back to work with her show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, she says that a break is very important in an actor’s life. “I feel it is crucial to take it easy for a while. Playing the same character can get tiring for any actor. So, taking some time off always helps,” says Drashti, adding that she really enjoyed herself during her break. “I travelled, relaxed and spent time with my friends,” she adds.
