Actor Dalljiet Kaur (left), who is going through a divorce case with estranged husband — actor Shaleen Bhanot (inset), says things are far from being easy for her.

“It’s a very tough battle for me right now, as I’m taking care of my finances on my own. Had I been alone, it might have been easier for me to fight the case. But with my baby to take care of too, the progress has been slow,” says Dalljiet, who has a two-yearold son with Shaleen.

Dalljiet, 32, and Shaleen met on sets of the show Kulvadhu in 2006 and got married in 2009. However, Dalljiet revealed earlier this year that she was facing domestic violence. She said she did not speak up earlier because of her child. “I feel that I have strength because I am standing up for something. I know I have to win this struggle because of my baby,” she says.

The turmoil in Dalljiet’s marriage has made her follow numerology and change the spelling of her name. “When things went upside down, I thought of trying it,” she says.
