For Neetu, it’s NY calling

Hindustan Times (Patna) - Live - - Leisure - MEDHA SHRI DAHIYA

Bollywood actor Neetu Chandra (above) has flown out to New York, to attend the week-long India’s Independence Day celebrations there. Interestingly, she will be attending the event in the capacity of ‘grand marshal’, we are told.

“This honour is huge and I have been kicked about it ever since I got the invite. I am glad to represent India on a grand platform, I couldn’t have asked for more,” says an excited Neetu, who also became the brand ambassador of Taekwondo of India, earlier. Reportedlty, she holds two Dan black belts in Taekwondo and has even rep- resented India in the 1997 World Taekwondo Championships in Hong Kong.

But the actor swears by yoga to stay fit. “Yoga is my core exercise. I have to do it daily to feel rejuvenated or else I can’t seem to think straight. So as soon as I landed here, I hired a yoga guru. And I am glad, for I need some peace around me and yoga is the perfect way to balance mind and body,” says Neetu.
