SRK, KJO ARE BACK AGAIN!
Shah Rukh Khan to team up with friend Karan Johar after three years; says KJo has a ‘good mind’
While in the past, they have worked together on several hits such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) and My Name Is Khan (2010) — and they also co-produced Student Of The Year (2012) — Shah Rukh Khan and film-maker Karan Johar haven’t collaborated on a project for a while now.
Last year, when Shah Rukh didn’t appear on Karan’s chat show, rumours of an alleged fallout between the two started doing the rounds. The speculation was fuelled further when Karan was allegedly seen getting ‘friendly’ with Salman Khan and Aamir Khan (he made his debut appearance on Karan’s chat show last year). However, we have now come to know that Shah Rukh and Karan are set to join hands once again.
“I am not doing a film directed by Karan as yet. If I am not wrong, he is doing a film with Ranbir (Kapoor), Ash (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) and Anushka (Sharma); and I am not part of it. We (SRK’s production house) are co-producing a film with Karan, which, I think, will be quite interesting because the script is interesting. I recently heard the story. Karan has chosen the script, and he has a good mind. I like the fact that he is joining hands with my company,” says Shah Rukh, adding that they have “been in talks” for some time now.
