‘TV can’t do with­out saas-bahu sagas’

While many tele­vi­sion ac­tors want to move away from melo­dra­matic roles, tele­vi­sion ac­tor Sid­dhant Karnik (above), says that tele­vi­sion can­not sur­vive with­out these shows. The 34-year-old, who has been a part of many shows such as Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Ka­haani and Aas­man Se Aage, says that this is what the au­di­ence likes to watch. “I don’t think tele­vi­sion can do away with saas-bahu sagas. There is a rea­son why they have bet­ter rat­ings than the sea­son based shows. This is be­cause these shows still have a large sec­tion of the au­di­ence,” he says.
