Although he received appreciation for his character roles in movies, actor Pankaj

Tripathi (above) wanted to increase his reach among audience, and this made him turn to the small screen. “I was not doing TV for the last four years, but I came back because it has a larger reach than films. Through television, my show goes to so many countries and so many people can watch me emote,” says Pankaj, who plays the role of Dushyant in the show, Sarojini.

The actor, who has played negative roles in movies such as Agneepath (2012) and Gangs Of Wasseypur I and II (2012) and Singham Returns (2014), finds a point to connect with the character. “I believe that every negative character has something human in it. I try to find myself in every role and see what similarities I have with that particular character,” he says.
