Dunst finds expectations from actors ridiculous

Hindustan Times (Patna) - Live - - Leisure -

Hollywood actor Kirsten Dunst (right) feels the expectations that actors have placed on them are “really ridiculous”. The 33-year-old said it is “unfair” to expect an actor will always say good things and not get hurt, reported People magazine.

“What people expect of an actor is totally ridiculous. It’s unfair that artists are expected to speak really well in public and have skin tough enough to withstand sometimes really hurtful criticism, but also, in order to do the job, be really sensitive and in touch with their feelings,” Dunst said.

The actor admitted that she has learned to get through it by staying true to her own self. “So all you can do is be yourself – just be who the hell you are,” she said. Dunst also opened up about her love life with actor Garrett Hedlund. “We’ve been together for three-and-a-half years, so, yes, it’s going really well. We’re the same age. We have similar backgrounds. He feels like family to me,” she said.
