“I hope to collaborate with my sister now that she has opened her own production house. If an opportunity comes up, I would love to team up with her,” Akshara says.

The 23-year-old, who made her Bollywood debut in February with the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer, says that she also wants to work with her parents, veteran actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika, but only after a few years.

“I would love to work with my father. It will take me a few years to improve as an actor and do better work, and I’d like to work with my parents when the right opportunity comes.”

Akshara adds that she and her sister often discuss fashion: “I discuss fashion a lot with my sister. We both have different thoughts about fashion and were given full freedom to develop our own style.”

The star says both sisters even steal each other clothes sometimes. “We both are girlie, but it is still very different. We both steal each other’s clothes. These are some advantages of having a sister and that too of the same size.”

On the work front, the actor hopes that it will be an eventful year for her. “Hopefully, I will be making an announcement later this year.” As to the reports that she was offered the role of superstar Aamir Khan’s daughter in his upcoming film, Akshara said, “I was not offered (the film). Had I been asked, I would have said yes. I am sad it did not happen.”
