Getting the right look for an actor can be a tough task for any filmmaker and stylist, but actor

Imran Khan (above) saved his next film’s crew and director Nikhil Advani from hassles when he brought clothes from his own wardrobe.

“We wanted to use clothes that didn’t look like brand new costumes, so I brought in a bunch of stuff that had been worn and used. And it looked as if my character had these clothes for a while,” says Imran, who will be playing a carefree lovestruck guy in his next film alongside actor Kangana Ranaut.

In the film, Imran, 32, will be showing off his personal style with his own collection of T-shirts, blazers and shirts. “We were all surprised when Imran walked in with his own clothes. We have hardly seen any actor do that. He was supposed to look like a boy-next-door and he brought in a dozen T-shirts that were perfect for the role. His effort made the entire crew breathe a sigh of relief,” says a source close to the production house.
