Zach will be the voice of Joker
Hollywood actor Zach Galifianakis (above) is in final negotiations to voice the villain in Lego Batman, a spin-off of The Lego Movie. Galifianakis, 45, will voice Batman’s classic archenemy, the Joker, joining Will Arnett, who is reprising the role of the Caped Crusader. Actor Michael Cera recently came on board to voice the hero’s sidekick, Robin. Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the custodians of the Lego screen brand, are producing the project. Chris McKay, the animation supervisor on Lego Movie, is directing the project, which has a script written by screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith. The actor stars in Masterminds, an ensemble comedy that was to be released this fall but is now postponed indefinitely as that company is bankrupt. He just wrapped the shoot of the comedy Keeping Up with the Joneses.
