Kriti denies film with Sallu
Actor Kriti Sanon (right) has denied reports that she has been roped in for a film opposite Salman Khan, saying nobody has offered her the role yet.
Media was abuzz with reports that the Heropanti actor had been signed on to star in the Ali Abbas Zafar-directed film, which was earlier offered to a prominent Bollywood actor.
“Even I read about me doing the film in the newspapers... I don’t really know where it comes from and who gets to know all this. They don’t even confirm or check before they write. I would love to do it, but I have not been approached so far,” said Kriti. The 25-year-old will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming project, which also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Varun Dhawan.
Asked why it took her a while to sign her second Bollywood project, Kriti said, “I always knew that it takes time for your second film to happen. I didn’t want to sign anything in a hurry. In most actors’ careers, there has always been a little gap between the first and the second film.”
Meanwhile, Kriti shot a Telugu film, Dochay, during this gap.
“Professionally, I was not sitting at home. So, I was not cribbing. It all worked out really well,” says Kriti.
