With three back-toback flops behind him (Besharam; 2013, Bombay Velvet and Roy; 2015), actor Ranbir Kapoor has a lot of hope pinned on his upcoming films. One, alongside ex-flame Deepika Padukone and the next, Karan Johar’s project co-starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma. “In my last three films, the audience definitely did not want to see me,” says the actor who was the showstopper for designer Manish Malhotra’s show at the ongoing Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai.

Off-screen, it’s not just the ramp that Kapoor rocks, he is also a good soccer player. The actor, who co-owns a football club, says that playing with trained players was a different experience. “I always believed that I am a decent football player. But you get a reality check when you play with these guys,” he said.
