Kat’s film not delayed due to reshoot
Filmmaker Anurag Basu’s film, which will see actor Katrina Kaif (right) and her boyfriend, actor Ranbir Kapoor working together, has been in the news for being delayed. The comedy-drama film was supposed to release last year. However, when asked, Kat said they have not reshot any of the scenes for the movie, and that is not the reason for delay.
In fact, the 32-year-old says a very large portion of the film has been completed and they are left only with some “complex sequences”. “No we didn’t re-shoot anything... I wish... Because if we were re-shooting, we would at least be shooting something. A very large portion of the film is complete, but there are some slightly complex sequences which are left,” she says.
Talking about the film, she adds, “It’s a very brave film. We have tried a lot of new things in the film and to do that I think it takes time.” The film tells the story of a young detective, who is in search of his father. Kaif also says Basu is an “indulgent filmmaker” who does not live under any pressure, something which she respects a lot in the director. “He is like a true artist, he likes to take his time ... he is not going to put under pressure by anyone,” she says.
