‘I used to get lost on Delhi roads earlier’
Actor Sayali Bhagat, who has moved base to Delhi, says that she now feels quite comfortable and happy in the Capital
Actor and entrepreneur Sayali Bhagat (right) shifted to Delhi post her marriage to Delhi-based businessman Navneet Pratap Singh in December 2013. And she says she has finally learned her way around the Capital. “When I had shifted too Delhi, I would depend on mobile apps and maps on my phone to reach a certain place. Sometimes I would just go round and round these roundabouts and even get lost. Then, people at home would constantly ask if I needed help with directions ... in case I was lost again,” laughs Sayali.
However, she has become quite a Dilliwala now, and can take people around the city on her own. “I’m now pretty good with directions, and can even guide others,” says Sayali, who runs an image consulting and skill-imparting institute.
There is more that has got the former beauty queen in love withh the Capital. “Everyone in Mumbai would tell me that Delhi has an extreme climate. And when I came here, I took sometime to get used to the super hot summer and extremely cold winter. It was a challenge. But I later realised that it is a very cool thing, because my wardrobe has so much variety. I now have a chance to wear clothes that I could never wear back in Mumbai ... all the jackets, sweaters and mufflers. Delhi has become a comfortable, loving home now,” says the The Train actor, who is also shooting for Kannada, Marathi, Telugu and Punjabi films. “I’m looking forward to my films and also concentrating on my institute here in Delhi. So, life is quite busy,” she says.
