The Cap­i­tal wit­nessed the Global Literary Fes­ti­val at Mar­wah Stu­dio re­cently. The event was at­tended by em­i­nent faces from pol­i­tics, and was in­au­gu­rated by politi­cian

Dhar­men­dra Ya­dav.

“The three-day fes­ti­val saw a foot­fall of over 24,500 peo­ple, 48 events and par­tic­i­pa­tion from all over In­dia and abroad that made it global in the first go,” says fes­ti­val pres­i­dent San­deep Mar­wah.

The fes­ti­val saw art and cul­tural per­for­mances by

san­toor player Bha­jan

So­pori, bansuri player Ra­jen­dra Prasanna,

ghazal singer Shab­bir

Hus­sain and fash­ion shows based on Wil­liam Shake­speare’s and Rabindranath Tagore’s sto­ries, which kept the au­di­ence en­ter­tained.

The event also in­cluded sem­i­nars, in­ter­ac­tions, a kavi same­lan and sev­eral work­shops. Those spot­ted at the fes­ti­val were politi­cians In­dersh Ku­mar Singh, Vimla Batham and Ram Shankar Khethria, to

name a few.
