Don’t use the word Maula ran­domly: Kailash Kher

Singer Kailash Kher (right) has re­cently opened up about his con­nec­tion with the word Maula which he of­ten uses in his songs. Talk­ing about the spir­i­tual con­nect in sufi songs, the 42-year-old singer said that such songs are spir­i­tual med­i­ta­tive num­bers and can­not be placed in movies just for the sake of en­ter­tain­ment. One can­not use the word Maula ran­domly.

When asked if Maula is his favourite word, the Al­lah Ke Bande hit­maker said that he thinks that Maula likes his voice and added that in n In­dia, when­ever some­one ne sings songs re­lated to the almighty, he needs ds to be care­ful as he will l be ac­cepted only if he sounds gen­uine.
