Hollywood actor Lena Dunham (left) does not “look at Twitter anymore” and admits she hired someone to write her tweets. The Girls creator and actor said she recently stopped managing her account because online bullies were creating some “cancerous stuff inside” her, said the Hollywood Reporter.

“I don’t look at Twitter anymore. I tweet, but I do it through someone else. I don’t even know my Twitter password, which may make me seem like I’m no longer a sort of genuine community user. I really appreciate those who follow me, and I didn’t want to cut off my relationship with it completely, but it really, truly wasn’t a safe space for me,” Dunham, said. “Even if you think, like, ‘Oh I can read, like, 10 mentions that say I should be stoned to death’ and kind of, like, laugh and move on. That’s verbal abuse. Those aren’t words that should be directed at you ever. And so, for me personally, it was safer to stop (using Twitter),” the 29-year-old added.
