Bollywood’s favourite fashionistas are cranking up their style by cinching their waists in stylish ways. From corset belts worn over dresses to sash-style picks inpired by the Japanese Obi belt — celebs are loving their statement belts.

The latest to sport the style has been actor Priyanka Chopra, who wore one for her appearence on an American talk show. “The corset belt in black leather goes perfectly with her actor-cum-music star image. The corset clinches her waistline and gives her cuves great shape and definition — the perfect mix of casual and rock chic,” says designer Nikhil Mehra. Designer Anand Bhushan also gives her look a thumbs up. “Love the leather corset belt on her, and the style is always super hot if worn the right way, keeping in mind body proportions. Priyanka has the smallest of waists, and the belt definitely works for her,” he says. Actor Athiya Shetty in an Obi-style floral belt and Malaika Arora Khan in a cinching leather belt have also joined the trendwagon. Wondering how to style it? “Use a statement corset belt to create a strong, structured look. Pair with palazzo pants or a skirt with a well-defined silhouette,” says designer Nida Mahmood.
