Singer Vipin Aneja who stepped into the world of Bollywood music with Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster (2011), recorded a song called Jaane Tere Sheher Ka for music director Arko Pravo Mukherjee a while ago. But little did he know that his song would be picturised on actor Irrfan Khan in his upcoming film that also stars actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

“I feel very nostalgic about singing for Irrfan because it was almost 15 years ago when I last sang for him. It was in a play that was directed by Pradeep Sarkar, who has also directed films such as Parineeta (2005) and Mardaani (2014),” says Vipin. “I was staying in Delhi that time and used to sing for projects such as theatre productions and ad films,” he adds.

Speaking further about his association with Irrfan, Vipin says, “Irrfan loved my rendition in the play so much that he asked me to come and meet him in Mumbai. Now I have again got a chance to sing for him, but this time for a movie.”
