Indian kitsch, human backpacks in Paris
From disco gypsies taking over the ramp to controversial theatrics with models turning into accessories — here’s a glimpse from the ongoing fashion week in Paris
CARRYING THEIR WEIGHT AROUND
At designer Rick Owens’s show, models turned into live accessories as full blown theatrics made their way on to the ramp. Needless to say, the show create a big stir across social networks too from comparisons with art movements to being called ‘human backpacks’.
DELHI STREET CHIC?
Our very own Manish Arora showcased designs that reminded us of the colourful style of the Capital. From boho colour pairings and motifs to a hue-high, sparkling beauty look — the show was quintessentially Arora.
Snug-fit dresses that spell sexy continued to rule the runway at Balmain. Creative head Olivier Rousteing also included second-skin-like leggings that embraced every curve like a dream. Popular models Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner took on the ramp, alongside veterans like Alessandra Ambrosio (left).
