Home reme­dies for treat­ing blem­ishes

Blem­ishes are marks /dark spots caused by pig­men­ta­tion, acne due to ac­cu­mu­la­tion of oil in pores. Brides-to-be hav­ing blem­ish con­cerns should start us­ing th­ese tips to see grad­ual im­prove­ment till their big day.

1 Pre­pare a paste of 1 ta­ble­spoon turmeric pow­der, juice of half a lemon and 1 tea­spoon honey. Ap­ply on blem­ishes daily be­fore a bath for 15 min till semi dry. This will help re­duce the ap­pear­ance grad­u­ally.

2 Potato juice when gen­tly rubbed on skin helps lighten skin tone and pig­men­ta­tion. Ap­ply and leave for 10 min­utes and rinse off with cold wa­ter.

3 Aloe vera gel alone or with one Vi­ta­min E cap­sule for bet­ter re­sults can be ap­plied on face and body blem­ishes to re­duce blem­ishes. Ap­ply on face and neck and leave it on for 15 min­utes. Rinse off with cold wa­ter.

4 Al­mond oil is ef­fec­tive on blem­ishes as well. One can leave it on for 20- 30 min­utes.

5 Pa­paya and milk (3/4th pa­paya and 1/4th milk) when mixed to­gether in a mixer to form a semi thick paste help re­duce marks and are proven to be very ef­fec­tive on blem­ishes as well. Ap­ply on af­fected ar­eas and leave it on to dry for 15 min­utes. Rinse off with cold wa­ter.
