Deepika Padukone refutes rumours that suggested that she had requested fellow actor Shah Rukh Khan to push the release date of his film to avoid a clash with hers. Bajirao Mastani, starring Deepika, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra, is likely to clash with SRK’s next in December. However, Deepika, who was in Delhi for the launch of a song from her film, clarified: “I have a very personal equation with Shah Rukh and I’d never do something like that. I was so busy working on my film that I had no time to get involved in this. As an actor, it’s important to do your part with honesty and conviction and leave the rest to professionals like producers and directors.”

Although in her period film, the 29-year-old will be seen in grand ensembles, Deepika likes to dress simple in real life. “I don’t put an effort in dressing up on a daily basis. I like to feel comfortable, so I mostly wear loose clothes or jeans and T-shirts. Of late, I’ve been wearing gym-wear a lot,” says Deepika, who while in Delhi, walked the ramp for designer Anju Modi at a fashion event on Saturday, showcasing an outfit that portrays her look in Bajirao Mastani.

The actor calls herself fortunate to be in an industry where others take care of her style. “We’re constantly dressing up for a film or the red carpet, so we’re styled to perfection all the time,” she says.
