Actor Neetu Chandra (above) has turned producer with a film directed by her brother. However, she says that she’s not putting acting on hold.

“Becoming a producer is not a back-up plan. It is a parallel plan. I am going to be the producer of many films in the future and act in films that require me as an actor. I do not plan anything in my career because I feel that it is like challenging God. I go by the day,” says Neetu, who made her Bollywood debut with Garam Masala (2005).

The 31-year-old actor feels that the audience can judge the film very well and that is the reason why small budget films are doing well. “Today, content is the star. The failure of some big budget films that had weak scripts is the inspiration behind low budget films with a strong storyline,” she says.
