Actor Arjun Kapoor (right) weighed over 140 kgs before entering the industry. The 30-year-old actor lost 50 kilos when he made his Bollywood debut with Ishaqzaade in 2012. And now, he says that if his role demands, he wouldn’t hesitate to put on weight.

“Yes, I will definitely gain weight if the director asks me to. I think an actor has to do whatever his director asks him to, if he has said a yes to the film. I’ve always maintained that as an actor, you should be malleable enough to adapt to the demands of every role that you chose,” he says.

Arjun admits that it will be difficult for him to shed the kilos again, but says that he will not do another film till he has lost all that weight.

“Honestly, it has crossed my mind before as well. Someone like me will have to set aside a lot of time and undergo a very strict physical regimen to lose that extra weight because of my broad structure and Punjabi genes (smiles),” he says.

It might be tough, but the actor say that he will think it through and take on the challenge. “It till be tougher for me. I mean I can’t just sign another film, looking like that without losing the extra weight. So I will have to consider all these possibilities before I say yes to a film that expects to gain weight in the first place.”
