Not standing opposite Bebo in our film: Alia Bhatt

Hindustan Times (Patna) - Live - - Front Page -

Alia Bhatt (above), who recently starred with Shahid Kapoor in a romantic comedy, is now geared up for another film with Shahid, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan (inset) and Diljit Dosanjh. The actor says that contrary to reports, she will not be “standing opposite” Kareena in the film.

“I’m not standing opposite her (Kareena) in the film. There are four different tracks in the film. Her track is different from mine. Similarly, Shahid and Diljit Dosanjh will have their own track,” Alia says.

The film, which is currently under production, will see Alia acting alongside another female actor for the first time. Asked if she feels competitive in Bollywood, the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actor Soni Razdan, says: “Competition is inevitable in life. But one should not pay too much attention to all that is happening around. We are all doing good work ... we are just proud and happy for each other.”

And does she feel the pressure of being a star kid? “I didn’t make my film debut with my family production. So it has nothing to do with whether I come from a film background or not. Secondly, my expectations are to please those who appreciate my work,” says the 22-year-old, adding: I just wish to please them (audience) and keep them happy. I try to perform as many versatile characters as I can.”
