TV actor Aamir Dalvi (right) likes to push himself when it comes to acting. He’s thirsty for demanding roles. And that comes across in his ongoing television show, in which he plays a mentallychallenged person.

The actor admits the role is tough, but is loving it all the same. “I’ve always done shows that are challenging because they help me evolve as an actor,” says Dalvi, who was seen in Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath. As for his current project, he joined it midway and so has to work harder to make an impact on the audience. “The show is reviving itself and so there’s a responsibility on me too. I hope I can connect to viewers in a positive way and bring up the show’s ratings,” says Dalvi, whose character in the show gets uncomfortable around flashlights.

“My character is repetitive and I’m concentrating on getting the body language right,” he says.
