Actor Ranbir Kapoor (right) has been approached for a light hearted film by his friend, director Binoy Gandhi.

Gandhi, who is making his directorial debut, is working on a script for Ranbir. He says that Ranbir has not changed after achieving success.

“Ranbir and I are childhood friends. The great thing about him is that he has not changed a bit after achieving so much success,” he said.

“I have discussed the idea with Ranbir and he has liked it. It is a light-hearted film where the Ranbir’s character believes in spreading happiness. It (film) is on the lines of what Rajkumar Hirani makes,” Binoy said.

Ask him if he has thought of any female lead romancing Ranbir, he says, “There would not be a romantic angle in the film but the main character would have a best friend.”

Binoy is working on the script and it should be completed by January or February.

“Once I am done with the film I will narrate the story to Ranbir. I am hopeful he will like it,” he added.

Binoy is launching filmmaker JP Dutta’s daughter Nidhi with his film.

“We are working on the post production of the film. Hopefully, the first look of the film would be out by mid December,” he added.
