Kat not bothered by Ranbir-Deepika pairing
Steering clear of commenting directly on the popularity of her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and his ex-flame Deepika Padukone’s (both inset) pairing in films, actor Katrina Kaif (left) says everybody is free to work with each other.
Gossip mills were abuzz that the 32-year-old star was getting insecure of Ranbir-Deepika’s chemistry in their upcoming film. The pair, who dated for a year, were first seen together on screen in Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), followed by the 2014 blockbuster Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), which marked their first release after the split. An online survey has claimed that Ranbir-Deepika would be the industry’s next iconic on-screen couple.
When asked what she feels about it, Katrina said, “I am not a director, so I don’t look at actors like that. Everybody is free to work with each other.” She also shot down speculations that she’d replace Priyanka Chopra in the upcoming third installment of Don franchise. “No, nothing like that,” said Kat when asked about such reports.
The actor has been busy shooting for a romantic-drama with costar Sidharth Malhotra. Now in Mumbai, she says: “I’m coming back after months of shooting in Scotland with Sidharth, so it feels great to be back.”
