No marriage for Bipasha right now

For everyone who has been quizzing Bipasha Basu about when she’s getting married, the actor has a stern answer. Not anytime soon. Bipasha says that while she believes in the institution, it is not important for her at this time. “I really don’t see myself getting married right now. I believe in the institution of marriage, but the more I see the world and the more marriages I see, this might be changing. I’m not just talking about people in my business but from all walks of life. It’s not the most important thing in my life,” she says.

However, the 36-year-old adds that this wasn’t how she always felt about marriage, and that it was a priority for her sometime back. “Marriage used to be very aspirational for me. You know how we Indians are brought up. We are told that getting married is the most important thing in our lives. I used to be like that eight-nine years back. With time and maturity, that has changed,” says Bipasha, who is rumoured to be dating actor Karan Singh Grover. The actor says that for her, it’s important to have an understanding relationship with the person before she decides to get hitched. “If there is no connect then there is no point in getting a piece of paper which says you are married,” she says.
