While many actors such as Aamir Khan and Salman Khan are putting on weight for their upcoming films, actor Bhumi Pednekar (right), who put on weight for her first film Dum Laga Ke Haisha, says that this is not an easy task. “It was very tough to put on weight for the film and then it’s even tougher when it comes to losing it. Weight loss will happen gradually, but all this is very mentally taxing. I gained 20 kilos, but I lost weight very organically,” she says, adding, “After my first film, I took a few months off to work on myself. During this time I was reading scripts and meeting people.”

The actor, whose last film was a hit, says that there is no way for her to predict how a film will do. “I am so new to all this and I have no idea what works and what doesn’t. With my last film too, I just had an instinct that it would do well and with my upcoming film also I have just gone with my gut feeling,” says Bhumi, who will soon be seen in an Aanand L Rai production.

She is excited to start the film as she will be seen in a completely new avatar. “I am waiting to start work on the film. It is very different from my last film. I will be reinventing myself with this film and I hope the audience likes that,” she says.
