While he is busy with the shoot of his daily show and could not fly down to Kolkata (where his sister lives) for Bhaidooj today, television actor Ssharad Malhotraa (right) says that he makes it a point to talk to her over the phone for a long time on days like these.

“I have such a hectic schedule this time. I was not able to take off to Kolkata to meet my elder sister Reema, but I will have a long talk with her on the phone. She means the world to me and it is on such days when I miss her the most,” he says. The actor says that his sister is a huge support system for him and is just a phone call away. “She has been such an important part of my life. I remember how we used to celebrate Bhaidooj when we were young. We would get all dressed up and I remember saving money so that I could buy her something nice. We have had our share of fights and arguments too. I can’t think of life without her. I am blessed to have a sister like her,” he says.

The actor adds, “I think she is planning a surprise visit to Mumbai soon, because she knows how upset I was when I got to know that I won’t be meeting her for Diwali and Bhaidooj.”
