While Nimrat Kaur has spent over a decade in Bollywood, her claim to fame was her role in the film, The Lunchbox (2013), which earned her acclaim in India as well as abroad. Nimrat, however, doesn’t fear getting typecast. “To establish yourself in the industry, you need to become a name to reckon with. You have to be someone people want to watch, and if they want to see you do roles of the same style, then why not? But there comes a time when you want to break the monotony, and explore different aspects of acting. I feel that time hasn’t come in my career yet,” says Nimrat.

However, the actor is certain that she doesn’t want to do the same kinds of roles over and over. “I’m in a place where people come to watch my movies. So, I don’t want to repeat what I have already done. I have got a lot of warmth and love being in this industry. I want to explore different opportunities, and do new things now,” says 33-year-old Nimrat, who was a model before she took to acting.
