Liam shells out big bucks for Harry Pot­ter fly­ing car

Bri­tish boy band One Di­rec­tion’s singer Liam Payne (right) paid a six-fig­ure sum to buy the fly­ing car that fea­tured in Harry Pot­ter and the Cham­ber of Se­crets (2002).

The 22-year-old is a huge Harry Pot­ter fan, and even cel­e­brated his last birth­day with a Hog­warts-themed bash, re­cently re­vealed the lengths his ob­ses­sion has stretched to, re­ports fe­male­first.co.uk.

Payne, the proud owner of the bat­tered Ford Anglia 105E used in the 2002 film, said on a ra­dio show: “I bought the Harry Pot­ter car and I put it in my gar­den. You know the blue car, the fly­ing car? I bought one be­cause I’m a bit of a geek.”

Payne also re­vealed that he’s a mem­ber of Pot­ter’s school house, Gryffindor, af­ter tak­ing an on­line exam. “I did the test on the web­site. My friend got Huf­flepuff and I, Gryffindor. He was so an­noyed,” he said.
