Rani and I aren’t from the 90s: Preity Zinta

Hindustan Times (Patna) - Live - - Front Page -

Actor Preity Zinta (far right) has criticised people for “wrongly” addressing her and Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega (2000) co-star Rani Mukerjee (right) as actors of the 90s. Preity, 40, who met Rani at a recent Diwali bash and posted a selfie with actor on Twitter, calling her ‘pregnant doll’, said the reports mentioned the decade wrong.

“Wonder why everyone in the media says that they miss Rani & My movies from the 90s’ ? I only had Dil Se, Soldier(98) & Sangharsh (99) (sic),” she wrote on Twitter. The actor added, “Rani and I worked in movies in 2000 & every 2 years after that. So technically I guess everyone has got the decade wrong. Isn’t that strange?”

Rani and Preity shared screen space in a string of films including Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (2001), Veera Zaara (2004) and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006).

While Rani was last seen in husband, filmmaker Aditya Chopra’s production Mardaani in 2014, Preity, who last appeared in Saif Ali Khan and Ileana D’ Cruz - starrer Happy Ending in 2014, will next be seen with Sunny Deol in an upcoming film.
