Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar (right) says that he really looks up to filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra for his honest feedback. Akhtar is currently working on a film with actor Amitabh Bachchan that is being produced by Chopra.

“Lakshya (2004) had just released then and Vidhu (Vinod Chopra) happened to be there at the screening. He called me and said that he did not like the second half of Lakshya,” he says explaining why he takes his feedback so seriously.

He adds, “Since then I respect his honesty. So the next time we spoke in 2014, he told me about this script and said that he wanted my feedback on it. When I heard the script, I was blown away.”

Elaborating on what the script is about, Farhan says, “It moved me to my core as it is an emotional film. There is a lot of focus on the action scenes that people will really like. But the film also gives a glimpse into what is really important for us in life. It will really get you thinking,” he says.
