Anushka’s paw-sitive ap­proach to­wards an­i­mals

Anushka Sharma re­cently show­cased her love for an­i­mals through her on­line aware­ness cam­paign, PAWsi­tive.

The cam­paign not only brought to no­tice the ad­verse ef­fects that burst­ing crack­ers have on an­i­mals, but it also got a lot of sup­port from her friends from Bol­ly­wood.

A source close to her says, “Anushka wants to sen­si­tise peo­ple about such is­sues.” The ac­tor has got the cam­paign reg­is­tered and wants to take the cam­paign to an­other level.

“Anushka’s month-long Di­wali cam­paign, which urged against burst­ing loud crack­ers, was sup­ported by Vi­rat Kohli, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Cho­pra, Anil Kapoor, Sid­harth Malhotra and Son­ali Bendre Behl. Many an­i­mal lovers from out­side the in­dus­try also came for­ward to ex­press their sol­i­dar­ity. Facts like the deci­bel lev­els that af­fect an­i­mals and the smoke that af­fects the vi­sion of birds were also posted on­line,” says the source.

Anushka wants to work to­wards the wel­fare of an­i­mals on a reg­u­lar ba­sis. “She plans to ex­pand the cam­paign to other spa­ces as well. She wants to high­light the ways in which hu­man beings neg­a­tively treat an­i­mals round the year, and wants to bring about a change,” says the source.
