Actor Karuna Pandey (right), who was recently seen in filmmaker Sooraj Barjatiya’s multi-starrer, is extremely fond of dogs. “I think dogs make for lovely pets. They get emotionally attached to people who treat them well. I take care of all the street dogs around my house,” says Karuna, who played Neil Nitin Mukesh’s mother in Barjatiya’s film.

The actor, who rose to fame after working in television shows such as Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki and Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, her passion for animals goes back to her childhood days.

“I know some people pamper animals as per their convenience, but I don’t mind giving food to dogs even on my shooting sets. As humans, this is the least we can do,” she says.

“Whenever I get time between my shoots, instead of resting, I prefer going out and playing with dogs and giving them food,” she adds.
