KATE PENS POEM FOR MOM’S 70TH BIRTHDAY
Hollywood actor Kate Hudson (above) gave a special present in the form of an original poem to her mother Goldie Hawn as she celebrated her 70th birthday.
The 36-year-old Almost Famous star shared a video on Instagram that first pans across cupcakes and a ‘Happy Birthday’ banner and then shows her cuddling to her mom and planting a kiss on her cheek.
She captioned the video with an original poem about her mother’s life. “On this day in the clouds I’m sure/A man had a plan for the twenty first/He took a sweet soul and said its time my dear/You must go back down to share your cheer/ Your beauty will please/ Your laughter will spread... (sic),” the first few lines of poem read.
“...And her beauty was something many found hard to resist/But she had one desire that grew with the years/To be happy she says, to be happy without fear/ People laughed in her face and said don’t be so silly/ But she paid no mind to those who could not see as clearly,” it continued.
The poem ended with Hudson sharing the idea of life that Hawn had taught her.
