Indian-born British actor Dev Patel (right) is in Goa for the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) for the Asia premiere of his film, The Man Who Knew Infinity. Based on mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan’s life, the movie opened the event. “I think our intention was always to bring Ramanujan’s story back home for the Indian public. I hope the crowds will be moved by his journey and struggle,” he says.

When asked if he’ll ever venture into Bollywood, Patel replies, “Some people have offered me roles but nothing yet has really struck a chord. I don’t want my voice dubbed, as it’ll take away from the performance.”

And for those wondering if Patel plans to work with ex-girlfriend Freida Pinto in a film again, the actor says, “Yeah, if the roles are right, absolutely. She’s talented, and has a lot to offer to the world.”
