Hindustan Times (Patna) - Live - - Leisure -

Veteran actor Jeetendra (right) says he used to send love notes to his wife Shobha (far right) through telegrams. “I belong to an era where the first time I wanted to express myself to Shobha, who is my wife now, she was my girlfriend that time ... I sent her a telegram, ‘Love you’. And she sent me a telegram back, saying, ‘Fake’. I responded with, ‘No, really I love you a lot’. She said, ‘Double fake’. That was the type of communication at that time (sic),” the 73-year-old said at the launch of a mobile brand recently.

The actor, lovingly called Bollywood’s Jumping Jack, added: “Whenever questions like ‘Where were you? were asked, I would say, ‘I was in Film City for a film’. We used to have a gala time. Had there been mobiles back then, we would’ve been caught easily,” he said. In a lighter vein, Jeetendra said: I only keep those Whatsapp messages which Shobha can read, and remove all the other messages.”
