On Eid, all of Hy­der­abad feels festive (the ac­tor be­longs to the city). To­day on the oc­ca­sion of Eid, I value that syn­cretic cul­ture even more. What I look for­ward to ev­ery year is the Haleem (a stew made of meat, lentils and pounded wheat). (Some­how) It tastes dif­fer­ent on Eid.
