EMMA WATSON PRAISES POTTER PLAY
When actor Emma Watson went back to her Potter days while watching a play
Actor Emma Watson (above) says the play — Harry Potter and The Cursed Child was amazing and it was emotional to meet
Noma Dumezweni, (inset) who portrays Hermione Granger. The actor, who portrayed Hermione Granger in the wizard movie franchise, was found seeing the London stage production, which is set 19 years after JK Rowling’s books and spin-off movies, that made her feel connected to her wizard alter ego again.
“Yesterday I went to see the Cursed Child. I came in with no idea what to expect and it was AMAZING. Some things about the play were, even more beautiful than the films. Having seen it I felt more connected to Hermione and the stories than I have since Deathly Hallows came out, which was such a gift,” she wrote on Facebook.
On meeting actor Noma Dumezweni, who portrays Hermione in the the play, she says, “Meeting Noma was like meeting my older self and have her tell me everything was going to be alright, which as you can imagine was immensely comforting and emotional! The cast welcomed me like I was family and Noma was everything I could ever hope she would be. She’s wonderful.”
