During the monsoon, hair tends to absorb extra moisture from the overly-humid air. Depending on the hair type, we are all left facing different kinds of problems in the rains. While thin hair falls flat on humid days, wavy or curly hair ends up becoming frizzy.

“Hair care is vital during the rainy season. Whether they are frizzy, wavy, straight or curly, it is important to keep your hair and scalp clean and dry in the monsoon. Avoid getting wet in the rains as the pollutants may weaken your hair shaft bonds, making your hair dull and limp,” says Dr Mohan Thomas, cosmetic surgeon.
